Femme Fatale
Femme Fatale is a hand-drawn fine art series celebrating femininity in all its forms — diverse, queer, sensual, resistant and unapologetically powerful.
The series reclaims the idea of the femme fatale from the narrow gaze through which she has so often been defined. Here, femininity is not presented as something decorative, passive or made to be consumed. It is complex, self-determined and plural. The women and figures within the series are allowed to exist on their own terms: soft and confrontational, intimate and distant, vulnerable and commanding at the same time.
Each work begins by hand, with drawing as a direct and physical process. Lines remain visible, gestures stay imperfect and bodies are not forced into a single ideal. Instead, the series embraces difference — in shape, identity, expression, sexuality and presence. Queerness is not treated as an exception or a statement added afterwards, but as an integral part of the visual world itself.
The figures move between portrait, symbol and attitude. Some confront the viewer directly; others seem absorbed in their own space. There is confidence in their presence, but also ambiguity. They do not exist to explain themselves.
At its core, Femme Fatale is an ode to femininity beyond convention — to bodies that take up space, identities that resist categorization and forms of beauty that refuse to ask for permission.
It is about reclaiming the gaze, rewriting the archetype and allowing femininity to be powerful without having to become hard.
A celebration of softness, desire, difference and power — on our own terms.
